Questions you may have

Q: What experience level is required for your tours?

A: NatureLed hikes and walks suit a wide range of abilities, from beginners to experienced hikers. All public hikes are graded — please refer to the Hiking Grades section to see what’s right for you.

For custom hikes, routes and pace are tailored to your requirements and discussed during our initial conversation.

Q: What should I bring on the hike?

A: Please see the What to Bring section for a full equipment list.

Q: Can I customise a hike?

A: Yes. Custom hikes can be tailored to your interests (e.g. flora, fauna, or history). Please contact us to discuss your ideas.

This does not apply to public hikes, but your input may inspire future events.

Q: What is the typical group size?

A: Group sizes are kept small (maximum 12 people) to ensure a personalised experience and minimise environmental impact. More challenging hikes have smaller groups.

Larger custom groups may require additional guides; this will be discussed in advance.

Q: Can I bring my pet on the hike?

A: Pets are generally not permitted on guided hikes to ensure participant safety and minimise disturbance to wildlife.

Q: Are there any age restrictions?

A: Participants must be at least 18 years old. Younger participants may be allowed on certain tours with parental supervision. This does not apply to school tours or camps.

Q: What is the refund policy?

A: Please refer to the Payment and Cancellation section.

Q: What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

A: Participants bring their own food and snacks. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies in advance; we’re happy to offer suggestions.

Q: Is first aid available on the tours?

A: All guides are first-aid trained and carry a well-stocked first-aid kit. Please bring any personal medication you may need.

Q: What if I have a medical condition?

A: Please inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions in advance so we can discuss suitable precautions. Consult your doctor before joining strenuous activities.

Safety & Insurance

Q: What safety measures are in place?

A: All guides are trained in wilderness first aid, carry essential safety equipment, and follow established emergency procedures.

Q: Do I need insurance?

A: NatureLed is fully insured for all advertised hikes. We recommend personal insurance to cover medical expenses or unforeseen circumstances.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad?

A: We closely monitor weather conditions and may adjust or cancel tours if necessary. You will be notified in advance of any changes.
